Capture what matters.

A compact, quiet screenshot utility for Windows 11. Area, window, display, and scrolling capture, with a persistent Quick Access stack and a focused annotation editor.

Press CtrlShiftA anywhere. Windows 11 · x64 · free during the beta.

Features

Four captures. One quiet workflow.

Every capture follows the same short path: pick it, grab it, act on it. No windows to arrange, nothing left running in your way.

Selection that stays out of your way

The desktop freezes, the selection glows, and the capture lands the moment you release the pointer. Keyboard users get resize handles, arrow key nudging, and Enter to confirm.

  • Live pixel dimensions while you drag
  • Frozen frames on every monitor, mixed DPI included
  • Escape backs out instantly

Scrolling capture, stitched live

Select a region, scroll the page yourself, and watch the stitched result grow in a live preview beside it. Long captures are tiled to disk, so a very tall page won't eat your memory.

  • You control the scroll, no fragile auto scroll
  • Motion stitching with recovery when you overshoot
  • Tall images saved as tiled output

A stack that waits for you

Every capture lands as a card in the corner and stays there. No vanishing after five seconds. Copy it, save it, pin it, or open the editor; the card returns to its exact spot when you're done.

  • Cards dismiss only on Copy, Save, or Close
  • Pin a card to keep it after Copy or Save
  • Drag the thumbnail straight into chats and docs

Annotate without the clutter

A focused editor with a dark segmented toolbar and a calm, light canvas. Arrows, shapes, text, highlights, step numbers, plus blur and pixelate for the things a screenshot shouldn't share.

  • Crop, rectangle, ellipse, line, arrow, text, highlight
  • Blur and pixelate for sensitive regions
  • Numbered steps, undo history, one key Copy

Lives in the tray

No dock clutter, no background windows. Right click the tray icon for every capture mode.

Copy, save, or drag

Straight to the clipboard, to a file, or dragged from the card into any app that takes an image.

Sharp at every scale

Physical pixel capture across mixed DPI monitors: 100% to 200% scaling, HDR displays included.

Light and dark, natively

Follows your Windows theme in every surface, from the palette to the editor canvas.

We're inviting a small group of people we trust to use Capture Scope daily and tell us what's wrong with it. It's free while in beta. If that sounds like fun, leave your email and we'll send invites in small batches.

You're on the list. We'll be in touch soon.
